Introductory Trial Flight – NZ$99.00 incl GST

A 20 minute (approx) Trial Flight gives you the chance to experience the thrill of actually flying an aeroplane yourself with hands-on control in the presence of a qualified instructor. This Flying Start package includes a pre-flight ground briefing and offers a unique opportunity to take off and land at Wellington’s International Airport, while in the pilots seat. Give yourself or someone you love a special gift and experience the extraordinary thrill of flight from the Heart of the Capital. (Allow about 1 hour total including briefing)

“Aim High” City & Harbour Trial Flight – NZ$165.00 incl GST

For sheer exhilaration and unsurpassed views, this 40minute (approx) City and Harbour Lesson will provide an added dimension to the standard trial flight as you explore the flight envelope, taking hands-on control under the guidance a qualified instructor. This is the ideal gift for those who feel “they need something else” or are contemplating learning to fly. (Allow about 90 minutes including preflight briefing etc)

Three-Flight Package – NZ$600.00 incl GST

Now we are getting serious! This package introduces you to all the basic elements of flight that you will learn and perfect during your subsequent training. It is an ideal introduction and will count towards your total hours as you progress further. This excellent package includes 3 x Flying Lessons, with detailed flight briefings and landing charges. 1 x Student Logbook. and Handling Notes. This option may be upgraded as part of the “Flying Start to SOLO” package. (Each lesson is of about 90 minutes duration, including briefing)

Flying Start to SOLO 15 hour Package – NZ$3995.00 incl GST

For many the primary goal is to go SOLO; to achieve the milestone and excitement of flying the aeroplane all alone. A truly unforgettable experience.

This comprehensive, advance payment package will take you well towards or even beyond your First Solo flight and save you $$$s.

The Package offer is only valid if purchased before your third lesson.

The pack includes:

  • Up to 15 hrs of Flight Training. (If you go Solo before this any credit balance remains in your flying account to offset subsequent training)
  • Student Pilot Log Book.
  • All Airways Charges and Landing Fees for the initial 15 hrs of training.
  • Flight Radio Theory Manual.
  • Wellington Aero Club membership for the current year.
  • NZ$150 voucher towards a Headset of your choice from Marinair Technology.
  • Convenient Satchel in which to store your documents

Gift vouchers may be purchased by calling in to the Aero Club at 246 Coutts Street, Rongotai, on the western “Kilbirnie side” of the airfield, anytime between 8.30am and 5.30pm seven days (refer to the location map). Eftpos facilities are available and we accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, cheque or cash payment. Or, we can process Visa or Mastercard remotely if you prefer to phone, fax or email us, in which case, the gift voucher will be mailed or couriered to a designated address.
